For this purpose, we worked with data from the Provincial Headquarters of the Forest Ranger Corps processed through the Integrated System for the Management of Forest Fire Databases. The spatio-temporal analysis made it possible to determine the distribution of fires and burned areas by year, month, time of day, economic losses and causes, as well as the frequency index. As fundamental results of the research, it was found that in the period analyzed 9.42 fires occurred with 83.26 ha burned as an annual average and media economic losses of 363,236.80 CUP per year. Overall, 66 fires occurred during the period analyzed with a total burned area of 499.58 ha. The year of highest occurrence was 2015 with 17 fires, while in 2020 the largest area burned 153.4 ha. The highest number of fires occurred in March and April, with significant statistical differences (p≤0.05). Regarding the distribution throughout the day, the highest occurrence was between 10:00 and 17:00 hours. The main cause was negligence due to bystanders and agricultural activities. The highest proportion of fires was classified as small and medium, while the frequency at the provincial level was 2,143. A significant correlation between fire occurrence and humidity was corroborated.
