Las demandas sociales actuales exigen de la universidad un proceso formativo consciente, basado en un proyecto flexible y competente, que prometa cobertura suficiente y satisfaga las necesidades de formación, superación e
investigación del personal y resuelva las insuficiencias de los profesionales en las diferentes instituciones universitarias del país. En tal sentido y luego de realizar un análisis de la obra de diferentes autores, se afirma que es preciso saber llegar al conocimiento existente, procesarlo y expresar generalizaciones mediante construcción de discursos, que puedan ser socializados a la comunidad científica. Se pudo deducir entonces, que la formación de competencias informacionales elevaría el nivel científico de las investigaciones que se realizan en la universidad. El objetivo de este artículo es fundamentar desde el punto de vista filosófico, pedagógico, psicológico y sociológico la formación de competencias informacionales.
Current social demands require the university to carry out a conscious training process based on a flexible and competent project that promises sufficient coverage, satisfies the training, improvement and research needs of the staff, and tackles the deficiencies of professionals from the different university institutions of the country. Accordingly, and after carrying out an analysis of the work of different authors, one can affirm that it is necessary to know how to get to the existing knowledge,process it and make generalizations through the construction of discourses that can be socialized with the scientific community. Hence, the existence of a relation between the formation of informational skills and an increase in the scientific level of the research carried out at the university can be deduced. The objective of this article is to substantiate, from a philosophical, pedagogical, psychological and sociological point of view, the formation of informational skills
