A field experiment under drought stress conditions was carried out in order to evaluate the effect of Azospirillum brasilense and Glomus cubense on agroproductive variables of Andropogon gayanus, under drought stress conditions. An experimental design of distribution on simple serie was used, with 7 treatments and 8 replicates. ANOVA analysis was made. Differences of averages were determined by Fisher´s LSD. Percentages were transformed by 2arcosen√P. Variables such as length of stem (LT, cm), length of the panicle (LP, cm), length of the spike (LE, cm), as well as dry weight of the spike (PSE, g), and florescence (Inflor., %), were evaluated. The index of inoculation efficiency on the basis of the PSE and Inflor. was determined, as well as the state of agricultural drought. Treatment EcoMic+INICA-8 showed statistical superiority on LT (189.71 cm), in PSE (0.071 g) and in Inflor. (83.71%). On the other hand, EcoMic®(corte)+INICA-8(15d) was higher in LE (16.39 cm) and in LP (56.08 cm), although the fertilized control showed common letters with these treatments. It is concluded that EcoMic+INICA-8, as well as EcoMic®(corte)+INICA-8(15d), were selected for its higher effect on a major number of variables. The simple application of INICA-8 had no higher effect on any variable. It is emphasized that the inoculation efficiency, as well as the relative agronomic efficiency, was higher for EcoMic+INICA-8 in PSE and Inflor., yet more efficiency of this treatment was observed in Inflor. The higher effect of inoculation was observed in length of stem and length of the spike. It is recommended to evaluate selected treatments in other field experiments with Andropogon, under different pedoclimatic factors and with several
