Resumen:
This Major Paper proposes teaching activities to work with the oral expression ability of the English language in First year teachers to be of English from Rafael Maria de Mendive Pedagogical School. A deep analysis is made in what concerns the teaching of English as a foreign language in Cuba and abroad. It also helps teachers develop the oral expression ability as a language skill. Furthermore, the work gives different teaching activities according to the psychological characteristics of the Senior High School students in Cuba. The reproduction, production and extrapolation levels of assimilation were also taken into account in the making of the teaching activities, and also were considered teaching activities that demanded effort and thinking attitudes from the students. For the elaboration of the work some empirical, theoretical and statistical methods were put into practice with the aim of verify, state and validate the aspects taken into account in what concerns the teaching and learning of a foreign language, so the objective of this work deals with the proposition of different teaching activities in order to develop the oral expression ability in the English language.
